PARENT AWARENESS NETWORK
The YWCA Parent Awareness Network is a family-focused program that provides support and education to parents and children in order to encourage the healthy, positive development of Darien youth and families. Its evolution has paralleled a national focus on using parent education as a positive, proactive approach to high-risk behaviors such as alcohol and substance abuse, eating disorders, and teen depression as well to build self-esteem, create successful students and foster self-reliance. We collaborate closely with parents, school administrators and community leaders to provide numerous programs each year on relevant, current topics for parents of children from nursery school through high school.
Parent Awareness programs (except occasional special seminars) are always free of charge and funded solely through private donations and the fundraising efforts of the YWCA and the Community Fund of Darien. Please donate now and join the school PTOs and other Darien families already showing their support.
We are counting on you… without you there is no Parent Awareness.
