With a membership to the YWCA, you join thousands of women across the region the country and the world who believe in the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism.
At the local level, your membership in the YWCA of Darien/Norwalk offers many opportunities for you to socialize make new friends, access resources and develop community leadership skills through volunteerism. Your volunteerism and charitable contributions to the YWCA make it possible for the YWCA to offer programs and support to other women in lower Fairfield County who are struggling to raise healthy children, transform their lives, and achieve financial security.
As a member of the YWCA, you are also eligible to participate in two special interest clubs: Newcomers and International.
International Club
Open to YWCA members who have international backgrounds or interests, club members include citizens of countries from around the world, Americans who have lived abroad, and others who are seeking to broaden their understanding of the world and how others live. The Club sponsors social and educational gatherings, which provide cross-cultural experiences, and supports the unique needs of women who are coming or returning to the USA. International Club membership is open to all YWCA members. Additional $10 fee applies.
