The YWCA Working Moms Network welcomes all working women, whether employed outside of the home or consulting/freelance, who are already moms or moms-to-be, including those currently unemployed or considering workforce re-entry. Particiapation is included in your YWCA membership.
The WMs Network:
- Schedules and plans local social and networking events during weeknights or weekends.
- Shares information and fosters connections through its ListServ.
- Meets certain Saturday mornings each month at member’s homes or at a local park or beach to socialize, network and have a play date for our children.
- Typically, a play date for children from birth through age four is held two Saturdays of each month.
- Outings for children 5 and up are held sporadically; past outings have included hockey games, the UBS Thanksgiving Parade, and beach gatherings. Suggestions welcome - email

- We aim to reinstste the WMs book group in fall 2013, meeting one weekend day each quarter to discuss a group-selected book. Watch the ListServfor details.

March with the YWCA in the Memorial Day Parade! All YWCA members, their children and supporters are invited to join us. The parade leaves Goodwives shopping plaza at 10am and marches to Spring Grove Cemetery at Post Road and Hecker (in front of Darien Library). If you are marching, please plan on meeting in the Good Wives parking lot between 9:00am - 9:30am for assembly and registration.

YWCA Spring Work Party: Feel free to stop by for a half-hour or the whole morning. We will be tackling yard projects, painting new lines on the parking lot and tending to other fix-it projects. Please bring the tools of your choosing - rakes, clippers, weeders. We will have the paint and other tools necessary to get the YW looking great for Spring. This project is being run by the Beautification Committee and the Junior Board and we hope to make it a twice a year gathering of our community making great progress together.
