The New Directions program will begin its computer class schedule on September 29, 2010. Instruction in Microsoft Word is available in additional sessions throughout the year on Tuesdays from 12:30-2pm and 6-7:30pm.
Computer classes are held in the New Directions Technology Training Center at 49 Old Kings Highway, Darien, CT. The Technology Training Center was generously donated in Fall 2009 by the Darien Technology and Community Foundation.
Computers are available for practicing after class hours. One-on-one computer assistance is also available.
Most computer classes are lead by Susan Cameron, a computer professional with over 30 years of experience with computers who holds a certificate in database design from Columbia University. Ms. Cameron has also taught computer classes at the Darien Senior Center and conducts individual training sessions. Microsoft Word instruction will be provided by Kate Foster.
